Micrograph showing aggregates of Methanosarcina barkeri CM1 cells captured with sectional depth scanning using an Olympus Fluoview FV1000D Spectral laser confocal scanning inverted microscope, with an UPLSAPO 60X oil objective (1.35 NA). Olympus Fluoview 10-ASW software was used to view fluorescent signals and to generate images.
